The secret of joy in work is contained in one word - excellence. To know how to do something well is to enjoy it. Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.
Is it so bad to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh.
One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries.
The key question is not "What fosters creativity?" But it is why in Gods name is everyone not creative? Where was the human potential lost? How was it crippled? I think therefore a good question might be not why do people create? But why do people not create or innovate? We have got to abandon that sense of amazement in the face of creativity, as if it were a miracle if anybody created anything.
The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you will discover will be wonderful. What you will discover is yourself.
You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created. I think that only daring speculation can lead us further and not accumulation of facts. Technological change is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal. The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
Creativity is a type of learning process where the teacher and pupil are located in the same individual. Thank goodness I was never sent to school; it would have rubbed off some of the originality. When I am working on a problem I never think about beauty. I only think about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong. Famous saying of Beatrix Potter.
Why not get out of your comfort zone and be creative so as to achieve excellence.
When I am working on a problem I never think about beauty. I only think about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.
